sam-i-am, he is

sam has taken swimmingly to his trip to his forever, two-daddy home today.

he's well on his way, per early indicators, to a lifetime of having affection showered upon him at all times and from all quarters. he's done great with other dogs, and, well, with us. of course he's still figuring us out, so while he shows signs of trepidation here and there (he needed a bit of help making sense of the car at first), there's not a whiff of distress. really just a sweet little guy. three friends are over tonight who were dying to meet him, and he's just totally soaking the attention up like a sun-parched sponge.

outstanding therapy dog candidate. achingly sweet little face. total keeper. that both daryn and i appear, in this pic, to have droopy, wan demeanors is an unfortunate accident, wholly divorced from reality because, seriously, we're beyond delighted with today's addition to the household.

  1. It’s been a long time since you started reading Dr. Seuss at age three. So glad it comes in handy at opportune moments.

    Sam-I-am indeed. My new grandpuppy!
